Everything You Need to Know

We believe in full transparency. Below you'll find detailed answers to every question clients ask us — from pricing and timelines to hosting, security, and long-term support. If something isn't covered here, reach out and we'll answer within 24 hours.

General Questions

We are a custom web development team. We build websites, web applications, e-commerce stores, and internal tools entirely from scratch — no WordPress, no templates, no page builders. Every project is hand-coded, which means faster load times, better security, and a site that does exactly what you need it to do. We also handle hosting, security, SEO optimization, and ongoing support so you have one team managing everything.

We work with small to mid-size businesses, startups, agencies, and individual entrepreneurs. Our clients range from local service businesses that need a professional online presence to SaaS companies that need complex web applications. What they have in common is they want something built properly — not a cookie-cutter template that looks like every other site. If you care about performance, security, and long-term reliability, we're a good fit.

We've been building custom websites and web applications since 2019. Over the years we've worked on everything from simple landing pages to large-scale platforms with hundreds of thousands of URLs. Our experience spans multiple industries including logistics, e-commerce, SaaS, professional services, and content publishing.

Absolutely. We work with clients worldwide. All communication happens over email, video calls, and project management tools — geography is not a limitation. Our servers are located in Canada with Cloudflare CDN delivering content from 310+ edge locations globally, so your site will be fast no matter where your audience is.

Development & Process

Template-based platforms are great for getting something online quickly. But they come with trade-offs: slower page loads (WordPress sites average 3-5 seconds), security vulnerabilities from third-party plugins, limited customization, and code bloat from features you'll never use. Hand-coded sites typically load in under 1 second, score 95+ on Google PageSpeed, and contain only the code your site actually needs. They're also significantly more secure because there are no plugins, no shared codebases, and no known exploits to target. That said, we're not anti-WordPress — if it's the right tool for your project, we'll tell you.

It depends on the complexity of the project:

Landing pages: 3-7 days
Business websites (5-10 pages): 2-4 weeks
E-commerce stores: 4-6 weeks
Web applications: 6-12 weeks
Complex platforms: 3-6 months

We give you an exact timeline in your quote, not a vague range. We've never missed a deadline — if we say 3 weeks, it ships in 3 weeks or sooner.

Our core stack includes HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and MySQL/MariaDB. For specific projects, we also work with Node.js, React, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and various APIs. On the infrastructure side, we use Apache and Nginx web servers, Rocky Linux, Cloudflare for CDN and security, and aaPanel for server management. We choose the technology that best fits your project — not the trendiest framework. Check our full capabilities page for details.

Of course. Every project goes through a staging phase where you can review the site on a private URL before it goes public. You'll see exactly how it looks and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. We don't launch anything until you've approved it. We also welcome feedback throughout the development process — you'll receive regular progress updates with screenshots and links to the latest build.

Yes. We regularly take existing websites — whether they're built on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or custom code — and rebuild them from the ground up. We'll analyze your current site's strengths and weaknesses, preserve your SEO rankings and content, and deliver a faster, more modern, and more secure version. We handle the full migration including DNS, email, and SSL configuration so there's zero downtime for your visitors.

Every site we build is fully responsive from day one. We don't build a desktop site and then "make it work" on mobile — we design for all screen sizes simultaneously. Your site will look and function perfectly on phones, tablets, laptops, and large monitors. We test across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices to make sure everything works as expected.

Yes, 100%. Every line of code we write for your project belongs to you. We provide full source code access — nothing is hidden, encrypted, or locked behind a proprietary system. If you ever decide to move to a different developer or host, you can take everything with you. No lock-in, no restrictions, no exit fees. We believe you should own what you pay for.

Pricing & Payment

Every project is different, but here are typical ranges:

Landing pages: $500 – $1,500
Business websites (5-10 pages): $2,000 – $5,000
E-commerce stores: $4,000 – $10,000
Web applications: $8,000 – $25,000+

These include design, development, hosting setup, SSL, CDN, SEO optimization, and initial support. We quote a fixed price upfront — what we quote is what you pay. No hourly billing, no surprise charges, no scope creep fees.

When we say everything is included, we mean the complete package needed to launch and run your site:

• Custom design and development
• Mobile responsive layout
• Hosting setup and configuration
• SSL certificate installation
• Cloudflare CDN and DDoS protection
• SEO optimization (meta tags, schema, sitemap, Core Web Vitals)
• Security hardening (firewalls, rate limiting, input validation)
• Domain DNS configuration
• Professional email routing (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Analytics and monitoring setup
• Post-launch support

The only ongoing costs are domain renewal (typically $10-15/year) and hosting (if you choose our managed hosting). There are no hidden fees.

Fixed price, always. Before we write a single line of code, you'll know the exact cost of your project. We don't bill by the hour because that creates an incentive to work slowly. Our incentive is to deliver a great product on time and earn your referral. If the scope changes significantly during the project, we'll discuss it with you first and provide a revised quote before doing any additional work.

For most projects, we use a simple 50/50 structure: 50% upfront to start the project, and 50% on completion before launch. For larger projects (over $10,000), we can break it into three milestones: 40% upfront, 30% at mid-point, and 30% on completion. We accept bank transfers and major credit cards. We're flexible and happy to discuss payment arrangements that work for your business.

Only if you choose our managed hosting, which covers server maintenance, security monitoring, backups, and basic support. Hosting plans start at $29/month. If you host on your own servers, there's no monthly fee from us unless you want an ongoing support retainer. Support retainers are optional and typically range from $100-300/month depending on the level of support you need.

Hosting & Infrastructure

No. We offer managed hosting on our own high-performance hardware, but we're equally happy to deploy your site to your existing servers or a provider of your choice — AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, or any Linux-based environment. If you already have infrastructure, we'll work with what you have. If you don't, we'll set everything up for you. The choice is entirely yours.

Our managed hosting runs on enterprise-grade Xeon servers with 64GB ECC RAM, NVMe SSDs in RAID, and 1 Gbps unmetered bandwidth. Your site isn't packed onto a shared server with thousands of other sites — you get dedicated resources and consistent performance. Every site includes Cloudflare CDN (310+ edge locations), 15-year SSL certificates, daily automated backups, 24/7 monitoring, and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. We handle all server maintenance, security patches, and updates so you never have to think about it.

Our servers are located in Beauharnois, Canada (OVH data centers). With Cloudflare CDN in front, your site's static assets are served from the nearest of 310+ edge locations worldwide, so visitors in Tokyo, London, or São Paulo all get fast load times. If your audience is primarily in a specific region and you want a server closer to them, we can deploy to data centers in the US, Europe, or Asia as well.

For managed hosting clients, we monitor all servers and sites 24/7 with automated checks every 60 seconds. If anything goes wrong, we receive instant alerts via Telegram and email — we often know about issues before you do. Our response time for critical outages is under 15 minutes. We maintain a 99.9% uptime record, and in most cases our actual uptime exceeds 99.99%. All sites have automated daily backups with offsite storage, so we can restore to any point if needed.

Yes, at any time. You own the code, the content, and the data. If you decide to move to a different host, we'll provide all source files and help with the migration at no extra charge. We don't believe in lock-in — we keep clients by delivering great service, not by making it hard to leave.

Security & Performance

Security is built into every project from the start, not bolted on afterward. We follow OWASP security guidelines and implement multiple layers of protection:

Input validation — All user inputs are sanitized and validated server-side
SQL injection prevention — Parameterized queries, never string concatenation
XSS protection — Output encoding and Content Security Policy headers
Rate limiting — Protection against brute force and automated attacks
CSRF tokens — All forms protected against cross-site request forgery
File upload validation — Strict type checking, size limits, and malware scanning
Cloudflare WAF — Web Application Firewall blocking known attack patterns
DDoS protection — Cloudflare's global network absorbs volumetric attacks

Because we write custom code (not WordPress), there are no plugin vulnerabilities, no shared codebases, and no publicly known exploits for attackers to target.

Yes, every site we launch includes SSL encryption — it's not optional and there's no extra charge. We use 15-year Cloudflare Origin certificates with Full Strict SSL mode, which means traffic is encrypted both between visitors and Cloudflare AND between Cloudflare and our servers. Your visitors will see the padlock icon and HTTPS in their browser. This also helps with SEO, as Google prioritizes secure sites in search results.

Our sites typically achieve Google PageSpeed scores of 95-100 on both mobile and desktop. Average load times are under 1 second for initial page loads and near-instant for subsequent pages. We achieve this through clean, minimal code (no bloat from unused frameworks or plugins), optimized images, efficient caching, CDN delivery from 310+ global edge locations, and NVMe SSD storage on the server side. Fast sites don't just improve user experience — they directly impact your Google rankings and conversion rates.

We handle technical SEO as part of every project — the foundation that makes your site discoverable by search engines. This includes semantic HTML structure, meta titles and descriptions, Open Graph tags for social sharing, XML sitemaps, structured data (Schema.org markup), canonical URLs, proper heading hierarchy, image alt attributes, Core Web Vitals optimization, and mobile-first responsive design. We don't offer ongoing content marketing or link building services, but the technical foundation we build gives you the best possible starting point for ranking.

Support & Maintenance

Every project includes a post-launch support period where we fix any bugs, make minor adjustments, and ensure everything is running smoothly. After that, managed hosting clients receive ongoing support including security monitoring, server maintenance, software updates, and priority response for issues. For clients who need more hands-on support — content updates, new features, design changes — we offer monthly retainer plans. Either way, you'll always have a direct line to a real developer, not a ticket queue.

Small changes like text updates, image swaps, or minor layout tweaks are typically included at no extra cost during the support period. For larger changes — new pages, new features, significant redesigns — we'll provide a separate quote so you know the exact cost before we start. We use the same fixed-price model for post-launch work. There are no surprises and no hourly billing. Most change requests are completed within 1-3 business days.

For critical issues (site down, security breach, broken functionality), our response time is under 15 minutes during business hours and under 1 hour outside of business hours. For non-urgent requests (content updates, feature requests, questions), we respond within 24 hours — usually much sooner. You communicate directly with the developer working on your project, not a support tier or call center.

It depends on the project. For sites that need frequent content updates (blogs, news, product catalogs), we can build a simple admin panel or content management system tailored to your specific needs — much simpler and faster than WordPress. For sites that don't change often (business pages, portfolios, landing pages), most clients prefer to send us update requests and we handle it. Either approach works, and we'll recommend the best option for your situation during the planning phase.

We show you progress throughout development and gather feedback at every stage. By the time we reach the final version, you've already approved the design direction, layout, and functionality. That said, we include a revision period before launch where you can request changes until you're satisfied. We don't launch until you give the green light. Our goal is a product you're proud to show off — if we haven't achieved that, we haven't done our job.
